Check you can register
You need to live in our catchment area, Walney Island. Find GP surgeries near you
How to register
- Online: register with us on the NHS website. It helps to have your NHS number.
- Paper form: collect one from reception between 10am and 6pm.
- New patient health check: once registered, we will book you a registration check. It's an important part of joining us.
Your named GP
New patients are registered with Dr Farhan Amin, our senior GP, as their accountable GP. This keeps your care joined up with other local services. You can ask reception to change this to another GP.
Temporary patients
If you're staying on Walney for a while and are ill, we can give emergency treatment for up to 14 days. After that you can register as a temporary patient for up to 3 months, staying registered with your home GP.
Ask at reception or use the temporary patient form (PDF). You can't register as a temporary patient in the area where you're already registered.
Need medicine while away from home?
Use NHS 111 emergency prescriptions.
Help in other languages
We can book an interpreter for your appointments: just ask. NHS guidance on registering with a GP is available, and anyone in England can register with a GP; you don't need proof of address, immigration status or ID.
