Before you book
You may not need a GP. A pharmacist, optician or dentist is often the quickest route, and some services take self-referrals.
Pharmacist
Minor illnesses, and treatment for seven common conditions through Pharmacy First.
Pharmacy FirstWho do I see? lists common problems and the best person to help.
Help today or tomorrow
Phone us on 01229 474526, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6:30pm, or come to reception. Lines are busiest first thing; we aim to answer within 2 minutes.
Our team will ask what you need help with so they can choose the best clinician for you. Everyone here follows our confidentiality policy, and you can choose not to give details.
For minor injuries that may involve a broken bone, go to the urgent treatment centre at Furness General Hospital. For poisoning or overdose, go to A&E.
