Online requests
MARA is not for emergencies. If someone has chest pain, is struggling to breathe, shows signs of a stroke, or is seriously ill or injured, call 999. For help today, phone us or use NHS 111.
What MARA is for
Medical
- A new problem that isn't urgent
- An ongoing problem or follow-up
- Questions about your medicines
- Questions about a test result
Admin
- Fit (sick) notes
- Letters and forms
- Repeat prescription queries
- Routine appointments and reviews
How it works
- Tell MARA what you need in your own words, for you or someone you care for.
- Answer a short safety check. If anything suggests an emergency, MARA tells you to call 999 and does not send the request.
- Answer a few questions so our team understands the problem, and confirm your details.
- We reply within 2 working days by text, phone call or message, and arrange what you need.
When MARA is open
Monday to Friday, 8am to 6:30pm, the same hours as our phone lines. MARA is closed at weekends, on bank holidays and on staff training afternoons. When we are closed, use NHS 111.
Your information
Your request goes to our practice team and is handled like any other contact with us, under our privacy notice. MARA does not make clinical decisions: a member of our team reads every request. How we use AI
