Messages from us
We send messages by text or email using our clinical system, Medicus. A text contains a secure link, and you confirm your date of birth before you can read the message.
Switch on NHS App notifications so you are ready when we start sending messages through the app. If an app message isn't opened within 24 hours, we send a text instead.
Proxy access: helping someone else
As a parent, family member or carer, you may be able to use online services on someone else's behalf. We can set this up if you are both registered with us.
- Ask MARA for proxy access (an admin request), or collect a form from reception between 10am and 6pm.
- The patient (or a person with legal authority) gives consent.
- We check identities and link the accounts.
Once it's set up, you'll see their profile in your NHS App. About linked profiles
